Falling Up by Shel Silverstein: Student Review by Benji

fallingMy review is for Falling up by Shel Silverstein. This was a great book, had lots of funny and really creative poems, and really cracked me up. For example, one of the poems is about his boy and his uncle. The uncle was saying how he was so much better then the boy when he was his age. The uncle asked the boy how old he was and he said he was 9 1/2. Then, the uncle said when he was his age he was 10. Another poem is about a lady who has 25 eels, and each one has a job (sneaker laces, a ring, skateboard wheels, etc.). Then it says that one got a job on page 59 as a cord for a computer, which I thought was hilarious. I would definitely recommend this for someone to read on their free time. I don’t want to go out on that so here is a poem I made up.

“I loved this book,

it was really great,

I’d give it an,

8 out of 8!”

I really hope you read this book. Shel Silverstein is a poetic genius, and has made yet another masterpiece. If you read this book I hope you like it as much as I did.
