Book Review: Moxy Maxwell Does Not Love Stuart Little

Moxy Maxwell Does Not Love Stuart Little by Peggy Gifford
A few years ago I stumbled upon this charming book at a half price store. Moxy’s challenge is to read “Stuart Little” during her summer break before she enters fourth grade.  Moxy and her book are inseparable…. but not in the way you might think!  Like all of us who put off doing what we SHOULD be doing, Moxy’s real problem is that she does not want to read what someone tells her to read!
As if the story isn’t engaging enough, the pictures in every chapter are black and white photos taken by Moxy’s twin brother, Mark.  You will meet “Mudd”, Moxy’s dog and “Rosie”.  Written much in the story form of Clementine or an older version of Junie B. Jones, “Moxy Maxwell Does Not Love Stuart Little” will make you smile and laugh and look forward to many of the other “Moxy Maxwell” adventures! (Review by Mrs. Kalbfleisch)

Cosmic by Frank Cottrell Boyce: Student Review by Samantha H.

Cosmic is about a 12 year old boy named Liam that is over 6 feet tall and has a beard. When he is mistaken as a dad and gets chosen to go to the worlds biggest ride, he decides to lie to his parents and go. He brings his classmate Florida to act as his daughter. When they arrive, they find out that the ride is a rocket in a secret location in china! When they finally reach the moon, they became the first kids to go to the moon, with some other kids. Right when things were going great, someone presses the wrong buttons and gets them all lost in space. Will Liam save the day? or just kill them all in space? Curious George Goes to the Hospital by Margret Rey Student Review by Sarah

curious georgeThe book Curious George Goes to the Hospital is a unusual book. It’s about George swallowing a puzzle piece. That’s why he had to go to the hospital. I would give Curious George 1 star. At first he is nervous but he ends up having a good time. Curious George is a very odd monkey. George puts on a puppet show in the play room at the hospital. There are many children at the hospital. The mayor came to visit the hospital, but it just happened that George got in a go-cart and was riding down the hallway.
Poor George was going so fast that he in to a man with dishes! The man yelled at George. George started crying. He had landed right in the stomach of the mayor! George had made a big mess, but he had made a little girl named Betsy smile for the first time! Once the man in the yellow hat came to pick up George and was ready to take him home, and one of the nurses came running toward George. She had something in her hand. It was a package. When George opens the package he finds the puzzle piece he had swallowed

Zoobreak Book Student Review by Emma

zoobreakZoobreak by Gordon Korman
If you are reading this, you might have read my book review on Swindle. Now you are reading My book review on Zoobreak, by Gordon Korman. This book has the same charactors but only metionds Swindle once or twice. In other words I wouldn’t call it a prequel, but you should read Swindle before Zoobreak. Savannah’s pet monkey, Cleopatra goes missing, Griffen suspects it just ran away. That is until they go on a fieldtrip to All Aboard Animals, A crummy floating zoo, and sees a monkey that looks like Cleo. Griffen and Savannh suspects that Mr. Naste (a.k.a Mr. Nasty) is a thief. Once again Griffen and the team aquire, danger, two Zoobreaks, a wild owl, and a bunch of poor animals.
