Student Poetry by Tabitha

Swift, graceful, intelligent, all of these words describe
the beautiful wolf. Branches slamming on his face as he runs
through the forest. Searching…. searching…. he didn’t know what
but he felt something tugging at his spirit, his pelt. Desperation ,
desperate to find what he was searching for. He tipped his scarred
scarred head to the starry night sky . He heard a roar. He saw brown fur gleaming, he realized it was a grizzly. Boldly facing the bear instead of running he faced the the grizzly. At last the grizzly fled. He at last found the thing he was searching for a mist, the spirit of his mother.

Thanksgiving Poetry by Abby!

At last, at last!  A student has blogged poetry!  So, I took Abby’s poem, went to www.tagxedo.com and created a fun word cloud (hint, it’s a tree…turkey’s weren’t an option)!  It’s FREE and fun!  Try it!

Turkeys dying on my day
Guess the holiday I am?
Thanking God in the words they say
Guess the holiday I am?
In church you gather, then you pray
Guess the holiday I am?
Sunshine is bleak, only a ray
Guess the holiday I am?
My holiday is Thanksgiving day
Did you guess my holiday?

Student Poetry by Erica

Snowflakes falling in clumps,
Laughter reaching the dumps,
Frozen ponds,
To skate upon,
Carolers sing in harmony,
Even those with no money,
Food set on the table,
Candy canes are even abled,
Icicles hang low and high outside,
But in her we are warm and dry,
Jesus’ birthday we are celebrating,
Joyous reunion and still counting,
I want to remember,
This wonderful December.
